St. Louis Precision Casting Company utilizes SolidWorks 3-D modeling software and SolidView/Pro, which enable us to view a number of different types of file formats.
Customer supplied CAD data aids with quote preparation, rigging design and when necessary, solidification simulation. STL files present the most direct means of inputting the data into the Solidification Simulation Program (SolidCast). Other 3-D file formats such as Unigraphics UGII (*.prt), Pro/Engineer (*.prt), and IGES (*.igs, *.iges) can also be successfully viewed and translated to an STL file to be used in solidification simulation.
